Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is "top ten books on my fall to-be-read list". I'm not sure if this is meant to be books that are releasing this fall, but I'm choosing to interpret this simply as books I want to read this fall.
Here are ten books I'm hoping to read ASAP, separated into two categories:
Books I need to read and review soon for NetGalley:
- Suspicion by Alexandra Monir (but first I want to read Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, which shamefully I have never read)
- Paradigm by Cerie A. Lowe
- Taken by David Massey
- Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas (I'm currently reading Crown of Midnight)
- Divided by Elsie Chapman (I keep putting this off because some of the reviews are scaring me, but I need to just bite the bullet)
Books I just really want to read immediately if not sooner:
- Harry Potter series re-read - Is there ever going to be a series I love as much as Harry Potter?? Fall always feels like the perfect time to dive back into this series. (I'm actually in the midst of this right now, just started Prisoner of Azkaban today.) I'd also like to re-watch the movies, which I think are incredibly well done.
- The One by Kiera Cass. No one spoil this for me but Team Maxon all the way!!
- Incarceron by Catherine Fisher - In spite of some iffy reviews I am really eager to read this one.
- Hereafter by Tara Hudson - see above
- Forever, Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid - I am so scared to read this because I suspect that I will ugly cry my way through it!
Can't wait to see everyone else's lists!
PS - Are you an aspiring YA author? If so, go here!
I've seen Suspicion on a few blogs now and I think it looks intriguing even just based on the cover, I might add it to my never-ending TBR list.
And Harry Potter! I've been thinking for so long now that I need to re-read that series and you're right, now is the perfect time :)

So I basically just want to copy your list into my goodreads and definitely read your netgalley books. This is such an amazing list! :)

It's dumb but my heart almost skipped a beat when I saw Harry Potter. Then I realized you meant a re-read. :-) And it seems that I should definitely be reading Maas--been seeing her books everywhere!

Every September I get the urge for a Harry Potter re-read! Once the air gets a little crisp Hogwarts is on my mind.

Oh, my gosh. My love for Harry Potter is intense, haha. WHY CAN'T SHE WRITE MORE OF THEM?! (But only if they're perfect!)

I so want to re-read the HP books. Hopefully my son will let me read them to him soon bc I never find time to re-read.
Thanks for stopping by My TTT

I really need to do an HP re-read as well. I've actually never re-read the entire series, just a few of the books, even though it's my favorite series of all time (of course!)...Heir of Fire is also on my Fall tbr list :)

I should just jump on that Sarah J. Maas bandwagon already! Everyone is loving the Throne of Glass series, and I'm just here on the sidelines with no love to feel or contribute. I also need to finish reading the Harry Potter series someday. I've only read up to the Goblet of Fire. I know! *shame face* I'll get to it though! I must!
Enjoy your autumn reading, Kim and thanks for stopping by! :)

I had Throne of Glass on my shelf sooooo long before I actually read it. Don't be me haha.
I think GOF is my favorite HP book!

I feel like I should reread the Harry Potter series as well. I was so young when I first read them, so it would be interesting to read them again from an adult perspective. But so many new books are calling my name!
Lovely blog ~ I followed you via Bloglovin. Comment /follow back? :)

I can't wait for Suspicion, I love gothic novels! I read part of Rebecca, couldn't get into it, but I think it probably deserves another try. That was years ago!
YAY always love seeing Heir of Fire on lists! Crown of Midnight is what sold me on the whole series, so fantastic.
Have you reread Harry Potter before? I honestly can't count the number of times I have haha. Back in college and immediately after I didn't read as much as I do now because I was constantly rereading HP! You're right, fall always seems like the best time for this :) I read the first book a couple months ago, maybe I should go ahead with a full reread too ;)
I really liked The One! The Selection series is the definition of fluff but I liked it for what it was. And I thought The One was a good last book in the trilogy. Happy reading!!
